Pamella A. (Ryan) Russell was born in Buffalo, NY. She moved to Brazil in her early teens and lived there until she was a young adult. Ms. Russell graduated from Rutgers University with a major in Spanish, then earned a Master of Library Service (MLS). She also studied at the Institute of Children’s Literature and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). A retired library director, she now resides in Cape May, New Jersey. She has five adult children, twenty grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She hopes her books will inspire children to find a new interest, but mainly that they will “read, read, and read!”
